Dear Diary

"Today, I woke up with a shock and terror..."

Japan declared war against our great Britain by attacking our territory of British Hong Kong. My nightmare continued from my dream to reality. I got up with a heavy body and brushed my teeth with unease. My head sore from lack of sleep and I felt numb on my right foot.

Then, before I could even have my breakfast, I got a call from the Prime Minister that I should quickly go to British Hong Kong and have an urgent meeting with the troops there.

I could not wake my family up so I had to leave a note telling them that I just have a business to take care of in my office. I did not want to tell them that I was going to British Hong Kong as that would have made my family anxious.

So... I got on the plane at 7:00 am from the London Airport and flew in British Air-Force 4.

I arrived at 3:00 pm and called in an urgent meeting with the British Hong Kong general of defense as well as the allies from Canada who also had long trips to protect our territory from the Japanese assault.

In the meeting, we were working on the defense strategy.
I brought up the topic of Battle of Lugou Bridge that was held on 7th of July in 1937, China.
This is because Chinese came up with a great idea of delaying the Japanese assault and buying themselves time by intentionally sabotaging the damns and levees to create massive flooding.
I thought only by doing so could we able to buy ourselves time for later attacks.
It was lucky that British Hong Kong was warm during December because water hardly froze even during the winter times.

After the meeting, I felt the tension in my body. I could feel that the war brought so much fear and shock to everyone in the world. I could not have my meal even after my duties were over. So I had to find out more information so that I could go back to London, early tomorrow, and report to the Prime Minister about what exactly was going on in British Hong Kong. One of the biggest concerns that I had was how many enemies that we would face.
So, I asked one of the Canadian (ally) soldiers named Jonathon Kingsley to give me any detailed information about how many Japanese soldiers are expected to attack British Hong Kong within few days.

"An unbelievable number was told by Kingsley that around 50,000 ground units!!!! would be coming...."

I was shocked but I was too tired to concern for no more after all the thoughts in my head about my family...

I guess I have to go to bed now because I have to start moving around early tomorrow morning....

I will write again if any good news come up.
